Production Manager (Floor Supervisor)

Connecta Corporation has been a leading provider of Swiss CNC Precision Turned Parts for the Aerospace industry since 1987.  Recently under new ownership, Connecta is now looking for a Shop Floor Production Manager to join our growing team.  This position requires a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes related to CNC turning.  You must be a team-oriented leader with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing activities to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives for the shop floor.

  • Daily and weekly team scheduling and management across 2 shifts to ensure job operations are started and completed on time.

  • Assign daily tasks to machinists and floor team members.  

  • Monitor performance and operations to increase efficiency across the shop floor.

  • Communicate expectations and priorities to the team daily.

  • Responsible for ensuring procedures are followed and documentation is accurate.

  • Assist with implementation and sustain Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

  • Preventative maintenance program is completed on schedule.

  • Responsible for tool management, job allocation, and internal RFPs.

  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist team with solving problems.

  • Coordinate, assist with, and manage training for Floor team members.

  • Monitor weekly scrap & Over Time for Floor team members.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with manufacturing turned parts and common supplemental processes.

  • Familiarity with standard aerospace manufacturing materials and processes.

  • Experience inspecting aerospace or military hardware using a variety of equipment.

  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or AS9100D certifications or experience working for certified companies.

  • Ability to read Blueprints & interpret GD&T.

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.  Ability to lead others without micromanaging.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly with minimal supervision.

  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing processes.

  • Bi-lingual (English & Spanish)

Experience:

  • Leadership experience (2+ years)

  • Manufacturing experience (2+ years)

  • CNC Turning experience (2+ years)
