This position requires a thorough understanding of setting up jobs and operating Citizen Model CNC Swiss Lathes. You must be motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to follow direction and work with minimal supervision. In this role you are encouraged to work with other machinists to overcome obstacles and grow in your role. Our machinist are able to setup and operate all machine models on the floor and produce a large variety of parts for the aerospace industry.
CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist - Setup & Program editor
Job Responsibilities:

Set up, tear down, clean up, and edit programming on multi axis Citizen Swiss Lathes (Models: L12, L20, M32).

Perform complete change over and operate Swiss CNC machines to produce First Article pieces.

Read and interpret Drawings on Specifications.

Read and follow Routing Instructions, inspection reports, and quality control plans to produce finished parts.

Edit existing programs for Citizen Swiss CNC Lathes.

Operate Benchtop lathes and general shop equipment including saws, belt sanders, grinding and buffing wheels as needed.

Inspect parts as required when they are produced using calipers, gages, optical comparators, and micrometers to ensure accuracy.

Follow daily shift procedures.

Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Desired Skills:

Advanced knowledge of CNC Swiss Lathes and precision level machining

Knowledge of multi axis Swiss Machines (L12, L20, M32 Citizen Models)

Ability to set up, tear down, clean up, and programming of Swiss machinery

Reading drawings/ blueprints, GD&T knowledge

Attention to Detail and sense of urgency.

Proficiency in using a variety of inspection tools and measuring devices including calipers, gages, and micrometers.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

General knowledge of Machine Tooling
Experience:
-
CNC Swiss Lathe – Setup, Tear down, and Programming at the machine (2+ years)

Manufacturing experience – (3 years)

6:00AM – 3:30PM | 7:00AM - 4:00PM
